Where's Need for Speed?

It's been almost one year since Phil Schiller demoed the very anticipated Need for Speed Undercover at the Apple Lets Rock Event on September 9, 2008. You can see the demo below.




So, where is Need for Speed? EA has been making excuses for the past six months. At first it was in November 2008 they pulled out and announced for March. Then it was March 2009, they pulled out because of "technical difficulties". Now it's set for early June.


Now some are thinking that EA is only holding back until Apple releases it's "Super App Store". This Premium App Store would have the top quality games that could compete with other major gaming platforms like Sony's PSP and Nintendo's DS.


For now, no one really knows when EA will release Need for Speed Undercover. It may be in early June, like they announced, or it may linger on for two more years. We will just have to wait and see.
