The Vista theme for your iPod touch or iPhone adds a realistic looking Windows Vista theme for your device. This theme includes working folders, start buttons, and lots of icons. It also has Vista spinners and artwork files to theme your entire device into a mobile Vista.

How to Install this Theme

  1. Make sure you are jailbroken. (How do I do that?) And that you are on or at an above firmware of 3.0. (How do I check?)
  2. Make sure you have downloaded Winterboard from Cydia.
  3. Download the package by clicking this.
  4. Decompress the theme, place the folder (the folder name should end with .theme) into /private/var/stash/Themes.xxxxxx/
  5. Open Winterboard, drag the theme to the very top and tap on it to give it a check mark.
  6. Press your home button and let your device respring.
Once it is activated you'll notice that you can't put your icons like the ones shown in the picture. The makers of iPod Touch at Apple only let you arrange the icons one after another. To fill the space in between the icons, you have to put clear spacers in between them.

Making Spacers
  1. On your iPod go to Cydia and tap on the tab labeled Search.
  2. Type in iBlank into the search bar.
  3. Tap on the iBlank app and download it.
  4. Now on your springboard, go to the iBlank application. Then tap on Create Blank Icon. This will create one blank icon on your springboard.
  5. Now you can move it aground by holding it down until all the icons are wiggly. Then just drag the icon into the proper place for your theme.
This works better than the Categories clear app because if you accidentally push that app, the category will open. With this, the app will automatically close itself after being opened.

Sorry, but what exactly do you mean when you say to place the folder there? Where is that? I'm assuming it's on my iTouch, but I can't find it...

@TinDefacto- You have to browse into the folders of your iPhone. You can do this by using either WinScp for Windows or CyberDuck for Mac computers. Once there browse to the correct folder and drop the theme there.

@Denis- That should have worked.

Just to make sure, you should have private/var/stash/Themes.xxxxxx/Vista Maximus Perfection.theme folder

and

private/var/stash/Themes.xxxxxx/Vista Mobile.theme folder

Then go into Winterboard to select the themes.
