Everyone that has jailbroken their 2nd generation iPod knows how much of a pain it is to have to run the boot.bat file every single time that you restart your iPod. So what if there was an easier way (short of buying a $50 dongle)? How about your Texas Instruments calculator?
To boot your iPod through your ti calculator you will need:
You'll have to create a program.
To do this, push the PGRM button on your calculator.
Then push the right key utill NEW is highlighted.
Then push enter.
Give it a name.
Push Enter.
Now enter thisPRGM=RUNRS
:Input "TEST ",N
:Send(N)
Quit out and push PGRM again, connect your iPod using the cords.
Run the program.
When it asks for a input type, write this:
RUN RS
That's it! Your iPod will boot up like normal!

Why didn't I think of that ?
Now I'm wondering what else that old thing could be used for.
Ya, pretty cool how old tech is useful for new tech.
